language : The use of the bloody text could symbolise or foreshadow the use of murder and violence .The text also has bright red lines sticking out of it which could represent scars and cuts. The film itself is clearly recognisable as you can see the title standing out in bright red clearly communicating that this is the title whereas the rest of the poster is more of a midnight blue and black . The production team and actors are written in big text right below the title so that it's clearly visible and easy to notice . The centre image is of a big gloomy moon shadowed with with a tree and a knight holding a axe on a horse ,  this makes it clear that there will be some sort of violence including in the play as you don't just hold an axe in your everyday life . In the atmosphere there is fog hovering around the centre image , this could imply hidden danger , mystery and a strong sense of unknown.

industries : sleepy hollow is a gothic horror film directed by Tim Burton with a production budget of around $70million-100million and worldwide gross of approximately $207million . The sleepy hollow was produced by paramount pictures and starred Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci.

Audience : The target audience for the sleepy hollow would probably be for around 17-18+ as from the atmosphere of the poster you can tell by the spooky atmosphere and fog . It was officially rated as R by the MPAA as it has graphic horror , violence and gore . It also features frequent decapitations and blood which would not be recommended for young children or teens . The targeted audience would likely be male as in the centre image you can see a knight sat on the horse holding an axe which would perhaps be preferred by men but it can still be preferred by woman.

representation : There is only person visible on the film poster which makes it harder to analyse the representation , however, the star role is Johnny Depp and he appears  to be a male this could perhaps prove the stereotype of how male are usually seen as fighting or doing a particular action to look masculine ( an example of toxic masculinity) . The horse could also represent being adventurous and like having the courage and being brave.
